Wonderful, well worth the time taken to visit each section

A well paced and managed tour through the complex sight with such interesting history. The movement of tourists through the complex is well managed. It was good to cover the three section. We were glad we’d organised transport to and from the site as well as it allowed us to enjoy to full tour.

Eva, our tour guide was excellent. The Alhambra complex is gorgeous and being able to see all of it and learn its history was one of the highlights of our trip. For those traveling from different time zones, a word of warning: it’s worthwhile to try and contact the local partners before your trip if this is one of the first things you are going to do, just in case. Also, generally just be on the lookout for an email or phone call. They contacted us in what was the middle of the night in our time zone due to a last minute scheduling change. Had we not happened to wake up extremely early and seen it, they would have cancelled our booking.

The only criticism that I have is that it was only after we started the tour that we were told that we needed photo ID with us and we were likely to be refused entry if we didn't have it. We had copy passports with us but some members of the group did not have any photo ID with them as they had read in guide books that pickpocketing is a problem and the advice was to leave all valuable documents in the safe. This caused them to become stressed and detracted from the atmosphere on the tour. Our guide was excellent. His English was very good and he put a lot of energy into it even though it was the third tour he had done that day. He paced it really well and gave us a break at a sensible time.
