Book with the Irish Whiskey Museum. It’s that straight forward - absolutely excellent! It’s not sponsored so no brand promoted over anything else - no leprechauns or 4 leaf clovers mentioned. What is though , is a decent amount of social history around the grain and the process of distillation. Oh and of course a grand guided tasting session - great choices, very well presented , a lot of fun had- possibly bit more of a challenge if english isn’t your first language. The whiskey museum shop is fantastic - all choices represented . This museum and the EPIC museum give a sense of the actual rather than then blarney...well until the grain starts talking...slainte !

The tour was really great, with our tour guide Anne being exceptional. She was witty, fun, and extra informative, making a special effort to remember everybody's names and where they came from. She also tried to bring relevance to the history by tying in her stories to the history of other parts if the world where those in the group were from. A nice touch! The only negative was that I thought it was a bit pricey for a walking tour. There were no headsets supplied, so when we walked amongst the crowds from one place to the other it was not possible to hear what was being said. Headsets and a slightly lower price-point would have earned a 5.

What an excellent visit facilitated by the passion and enthusiasm of Anne our guide. Anne brought history, the Book of Kells, Dublin Castle and surrounding area to life with in depth knowledge humour and an entertaining delivery which was captivating! How lucky were we to have Anne as our guide!

Early access to this priceless exhibit is definitely well worth the price. Our guide, Brian, gave us some great pointers to help us make the most of our time and the walking tour afterwards was informative and fun.

Great experience! Brian was fantastic and a wealth of information not only about the Book of Kells and Dublin Castle, but regarding intricate and detailed history of Ireland -- both past and present. Thanks Brian!
