    Tour the island of Gozo by Jeep and boat. Drive through valleys and down local streets to see the real island. Take a boat trip to the famous Blue Lagoon, stop at the Crystal Lagoon for a swim, and be enchanted at the Comino Caves.

    Your combination tour begins with pickup from your hotel from where you will be taken to the Gozo Ferry for a 20-minute crossing from the island of Malta to Gozo. Once arriving in Gozo, your experience may start with either the jeep tour or the boat trip. Enjoy lunch between your activities.

    On the jeep tour venture to a high point to view the Three Islands of the Maltese Archipelago. Following that, you will drive through the valleys and back streets to discover the real island, as you pass through areas where no bus or taxi can pass.

    The advantage of the jeep is that you have a driver for every 5 to 6 people, allowing the trip to be very personal. As lunchtime approaches, it will be time to stop into a local restaurant for a freshly-prepared buffet lunch, all washed down by some chilled Gozo wine and local fruit. For your boat trip board a twin-masted schooner for a cruise to the famous Blue Lagoon and avoid the crowds. Stop at the Crystal Lagoon for a must-see location, where you can swim. Masks and snorkels are also available for free on board. Lunch might be either at the restaurant or on the boat. Take an enchanting trip on the boat's dinghy through a tunnel in the cliff. This trip will also include a visit to the topless cave (a cave without a top that has fallen in), before heading up to a long cave below the fortress of Comino (which was used in the filming of the "Count of Monte Cristo").

    For those who are limited on their holiday time, the tour is an ideal trip that allows you to enjoy the best of the island, as well as the best part of the lagoons on Comino Island. Cave trips are at a small extra fee.

    The Barbarossa team were absolutely wonderful. We had a great time and everyone involved was so friendly, informative, and had a great sense of humor. We felt the time was well spent and that we have ample opportunity to enjoy the entire day between sites. George was our Jeep tour guide and he was a hoot. The team contacted me via WhatsApp very early the day prior to discuss pick up time and location, which was great! They also stayed in contact when our driver was stuck in traffic and late. The only issue we had was our morning driver. He was driving very aggressive and there were several times when all of us in the car were wondering if we were going to get in a crash.

    Based on the description, we thought that you could decide between a jeep and a boat tour, but in fact both are done and you have a lot of great impressions, but unfortunately sometimes causes quite a bit of time pressure in places that would invite you to linger a bit. The guides are personable and nice. The only real disappointment was the "lunch buffet" which definitely isn't. Starter a non-definable soup, main course not vegetarian available and the dessert “ice cream” from the can inedible. The "restaurant" and the sanitary facilities are ugly and dirty. No mention of a buffet, it should be improved urgently. Especially on a day tour where you are on the road for a good 8-10 hours..

    Everything was excellent… except… we lost 1.5 hours of the trip. We were picked up in Victoria, and then spend an hour breathing exhaust fumes from boats and buses in the hot ferry parking lot. Their policy was to wait as long as it took for the people from Malta to arrive to Gozo. The jeep ride was fun, and our guide was very nice, but it was clear we were trying to make-up lost time, and many of the stops felt rushed. I wonder if we skipped any entirely. We are pescatarian, and our needs were accommodated at lunch. The boat trip was amazing; however, we did arrive back 30 minutes before the tour was supposed to end. The crew was very friendly. I enjoyed the trip, but I am not sure I would use this company again. We were close to asking for a refund and leaving at the beginning.
