In the morning, at 9:00 am, you meet at your hotel and drive to Mtskheta. You will visit Jvari Monastery – the early medieval age church (VI-VII centuries) that was built on the top of the hill where St. Nino erected a wooden cross in the 4th Century. The church overlookes the confluence of two rivers and amazes its visitors with its beautiful facades and geographical locations. Next up, Mtskheta – the ancient capital of the early Georgian kingdom located 20 km away from Tbilisi and offering visitors lovely streets, shops and houses with balconies for exploring and enjoyment. See its beautiful architecture, facades and frescoes that leave an astonishing impression. Visit Stalin’s Museum afterwards, the birthplace of the Soviet dictator and leader, Joseph Stalin. Finally, go to Uplistsikhe – literally "the lord's fortress", an ancient rock-hewn town which was carved in the 1st millennium BC. In the morning your driver meets you at the place of your stay in Tbilisi from where your trip to Central Georgia starts. First stop on the way is Jvari monastery that overlooks the ancient capital Mtskheta. From Jvari there is a nice panoramic view of the confluence of two rivers, Mtkavri and Aragvi. Then, continue your way for Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave city in Central Georgia 110 kilometers away from Tbilisi. Uplistsikhe complex is considered as one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia by archeologists. After exploring Uplistsikhe, drive to Gori where the museum of Joseph Stalin, dictator of the Soviet Union, is located. At the museum you can see items owned by Stalin, including some of his office furniture, documents and photos. Outside of the museum you can find his personal train carriage which weighs 83 tons. He used that carriage to attend the post-war conferences at Teheran, Yalta and Potsdam. At last, drive back for Tbilisi and on the way visit Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Nowadays Mtskheta is a UNESCO site and serves as the center of the Georgian orthodox church.

Begin your tour with pickup at your accommodation in Tbilisi and make your way to the historic town of Mtskheta, to the northwest of the Georgian capital. Then, step even further back into history by visiting the ancient rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe in eastern Georgia, some 62 miles (100 kilometers) west of Tbilisi. Explore one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia, and learn about its mythical foundation by Uplos, son of Mtskhetos, and grandson of Kartlos in the Georgian medieval written tradition. Leaving Uplistsikhe behind you, travel to the Georgian resort town of Borjomi along a picturesque road through the green and leafy Borjomi Valley. Hear about the area's famed mineral water, which is spread all over the globe, and admire the beauty of the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, as well as the sulphuric baths located all over the territory. Finally, make your last stop at the Green Monastery, officially known as Chitakhevi St. George Monastery, a 9th-century friary located in the village of Chitakhevi. The tour includes with drop-off back at your accommodation in Tbilisi.
