We booked this tour as a private tour and didn't regret it. The tour guide picked us up at our hotel on time, was really friendly and accommodated to our requests. The tour was just the right amount of history for my wife and I, as we generally prefer more insight into present day culture than a place's lenghty history. It was a good pace and we had the opportunity to stop a couple of times to take certain sites in, so it wasn't a tour where you were constantly on the move.

This two-hour tour was enjoyably packed with history as well as advice about things to do and what and where to eat. Despite a freezing wind (early January, 5 pm tour), the guide (Marijke) was unperterbed, and she conducted her tour professionally and with obvious enthusiasm for her job.
