Best tour of New Orleans I’ve done… and I’ve done dozens! Walking tour of the Garden District with James. He’s lived here 30 years and it shows. He knows everything about the area, the buildings, the history and so many lovely tid-bits. There are so many tour options when coming to NOLA, but this one blew them all out of the water. It’s clear James has a passion and sincere interest in this magical place. Would absolutely recommend!

We had an excellent tour with James. He met us promptly at Gracious Bakery and walked us through the Garden District. It was a very entertaining two hours with lots of stories about past and present residents as well as commentary about the history of New Orleans and the architecture of the District. Although the Lafayette Cemetery is closed to visitors, we spent a good amount of time at one of the side entrances where we could see in and James explained all about the cemeteries of New Orleans. Highly Recommend Lucky Beans tours for the Garden District.

The Garden District walking tour was excellent. Our guide was a local and was able to share an insiders perspective to the history and legends of both the Garden District and New Orleans. We received great information on the various architectural styles and the residents both then and now - the famous and the infamous. Although the cemetery was not open to the public, she shared a lot of information on the history of the cemetery and the traditions around the use of crypts. Highly recommend this tour.
