Depart Bergamo and journey to the medieval city of Verona, where you can travel back to the days of Shakespeare and call for Romeo from the balcony of Juliet's House. Admire the Roman arena, where operas and summer concerts are still performed on a regular basis. Get some time to stroll the narrow streets and discover Renaissance palaces at leisure.
Then, make your way to Lake Garda and visit Sirmione. Wander the narrow streets of the former Roman summer retreat to see highlights such as the ruins of the city walls and Roman villa. Marvel at the 13th-century castle and see a rare example of a medieval port fortification used by the Scaliger fleet.
