1. Israel: Nazareth and Sea of Galilee Private Full-Day Tour

Begin your tailor-made journey of Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee with a hotel pickup, where you will be greeted by your guide who will take care of you throughout the day.  Head straight to Nazareth, where your guide will take you to see several religious sites. Start at the Church of Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel appeared before Mary before heading to the nearby Church of St. Josephs and its carpentry shop. Continue your tour by visiting the Greek Orthodox Church and the adjoining well, and walk through the town's markets on your way to visit the Greek Catholic Church. Next, head to the Mount of Precipitation, which is believed to be the site of the rejection of Jesus. Make sure to look around and enjoy panoramic views over the impressive Jezreel valley before continuing on to Cana, where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water to wine. Then, go to Tiberias, where you will visit the Capernaum, and the nearby Benedictine Church, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish. Continue on to Mensa Christi, where Jesus made his final revelation, before making your way along the shore to the Mount of Beatitudes. Best of all, choose to be baptized in the Jordan River at Yardenit to make your trip special. If there's enough time, you can also climb up Mount Tabor to see the Church of the Transfiguration. Choose your destinations on this custom private tour, and your guide will be happy to turn this day into one to remember.

What people are saying about Galilee

Group was just two of us and the guide. We saw Sea of Galilee, Tabgha, Church of Annunciation, Mount of Beatitudes, Kapernaum, House of Peter and more. Many facts were shared from the guide about Jewish and Arabic cultures, about the region, history and archaeology of the sites. Guide Danny was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and open. It was amazing to learn about experiences from the point of view of the person who lives in Israel. We were able to try Arabic sweets and buy some exotic fruit, we also sampled Mediterranean cuisine with the Jewish twist. It was amazing to sample side dishes which were many different combinations of vegetables, Kebob, and fresh fish. Overall the tour was worth spending the time and money, well thought out and tailored to our requests. There were also recommendations in what would be interesting to do in other cities and places.
