Full description

Depart Funchal and travel through the fishing villages in the south of the island, passing Cape Girão to see the 589-meter vertical drop to the sea. Get a glimpse at life on the island at Ribeira Brava, and then ascend Encumeada for breathtaking views of the deep valley and mountains. Continue up to the Paul da Serra plateau to encounter a straight road that contrasts with the winding roads of the rest of Madeira. Compare the southern and northern part of the island as you take in the panoramic views. Descend to the volcanic rock pools of Porto Moniz. After lunch, return to Funchal along the northern coast and via the picturesque village of São Vicente.

The pickup did not work.

The information about this tour was an impertinence! Your agency in Madeira, Choicecar, was not informed at all, so we cannot get any information either. At 8:00 a.m. I asked Choicecar whether it would be possible to be picked up at the exit of the AidaPrima at 9:00 a.m. or whether it would be picked up earlier. It was confirmed with 9:00 a.m. AidaPrima. In fact, this tour was carried out by HAPPYTOURS, the meeting point was at 8.30 am on the other side of the pier !!!! Due to my persistence and a few phone calls with Choicecar - who by the way asked me whether I am in Lisbon or Madeira - the driver who was already on the way was ordered back again !!!!!!! So it didn't work out. I hope that it works better on Lanzarote. I cannot pass on a recommendation for you. The tour itself turned out to be good. Kind regards, Friederike Korecky
