True Spirit gets pole position as best tour company after a week of different tours during our time in Madeira. Rui was an excellent guide with in-depth knowledge of the island, a friendly demeanor and capable and safe driver, which you need to enjoy the off-road elements of the trip. There was room for 8 guests, with 4 in the back, 3 in the middle and one passenger at the front. We had a good amount of time at each sight, and there was lots information given throughout the journey. Unfortunately the sea was too rough to swim in the North, but we got to watch the amazing waves. Lunch was delicious and the off roading was really good fun. Flat sandals worked fine as footwear but bring layers as is can get colder but it's much more fun with the roof down!

Well worth every penny. If you get a chance do the trip you will not forget this one. The Driver Chris was a star well informed and exciting but safe driver when off road. We were in a group with six others all of them good trip mates. If you hired a car your self you would never find the roads we used.

We were traveling with Christopher. Right from the start he was very open, friendly, humorous and attentive. Actually, I'm not a 'day trip tourist' at all, but the trip was varied - with different stops, including some that I didn't expect at all - and fast-paced. It was a really cool tour with funny elements. An all-round successful day! Absolutely to be recommended!
