If you want to get to know the island, but also the people, a Levada hike is the best. If Susanna also leads the hike as a guide, everything comes together. The route was easy but with beautiful views of the island and the ocean.Susanna was extremely competent when it came to flora and fauna.

We had an amazing walk with a very nice view. Even had some fresh fruit on the way from a lovely lady of 90 years old. We're glad we booked this tour because if you book through your hotel you do the walk with a big group of people. We were with the four of us. The biggest plus was our guide. She was amazing!

Very nice hike along a levada. It does not pose any particular physical demands, but you should be "sure-footed", because the path is quite narrow in the first third of the route. T. steeply downhill. Very nice views and some information about the country and people from the guide.
