Full description
Depart Funchal and head to the coastal town of Câmara de Lobos in the northwest of Madeira. Continue to Europe's highest sea cliff at Cabo Girão and get amazing views of the ocean. Next, make your way to the pretty parish of Quinta Grande on the Câmara de Lobos archipelago. Journey through the agricultural parish of Campanário, known for its vineyards and tropical fruit.
Get an amazing view from Ribeira Brava and discover the village of Tabua, located over one of the tributaries of the ravine. Continue through Candelária to Lombo do Mouro on the island's biggest plateau. Visit Estanquinhos in the Paul da Serra plateau and see the walking trails of Fanal and Portas da Vila.
Stop for lunch in Porto Moniz, and then continue to the pretty parish of Seixal, known for its lava pools. Travel through the green forests of São Vicente, and get panoramic views from the high Encumeada pass as you make your way back to Funchal.
