Cruise from Fuerteventura to Lobos Island on this return trip by ferry. At El Puertito, you can find the only restaurant on the island and a few buildings that were built before the island had been declared a Natural Park. Surrounded by tranquil waters, you will enjoy the island’s rich and exotic sea life. To the left of the harbor, you can find the most famous beach on this side of El Río. Take a swim in the calm and crystal clear, turquoise blue water or sunbathe in the fine sand, perfect for families with children, couples, young and old. This beach is commonly known as “La Concha” (the Shell) because of its shape, although the official name is La Caleta because of the limescale oven that played an important role in the construction of the “Martiño” lighthouse. From here you can see in the distance the dunes of Corralejo, the contours of Fuerteventura and when turning your back to the sea, appreciate the unique mountain “La Caldera”. Don’t forget to visit the nearby statue of Josefine Plá, the Spanish writer, poet and essayist, who was born on the island. Take a deep breath, a bottle of water and get ready to climb the highest peak of the island. The “La Caldera” mountain is a volcanic cone of relatively recent origin. Enjoy a fantastic view of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote from its 127-meter peak. Time stands still here as you take in the silence and colour of this splendid natural surrounding.  Whilst visiting the Northern part of the island, you will find the lighthouse, whose first lighthouse keeper was Josefine Plá’s father. Nowadays, the lighthouse works fully automatically and has been restored to its full splendour. Within the shade of this structure, stop for a rest while admiring the sea and Lanzarote with its volcanoes in the background. Admire the volcanic nature of the island’s interior and take a walk on the “Saladar (salt marsh) del Faro Martiño” and “Las Lagunitas”. More than 130 plant species and endemic birds live here, which has converted this idyllic paradise into a protected natural park. Cross the Natural Park of Betancuria, the oldest part of the island, which offers broad views over the Canyon of La Peñita. Embark on a hike in the western part of Fuerteventura. Discover the famous Las Peñitas Ravine and its chapel. Ascend the ravine to see the place where the Virgen de la Peña appeared. Make a wish in the chapel and feel like a local. Enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the entire valley far away from tourist crowds. Observe wild goats and raptors. Drive 5 kilometers to the fishing village of Ajuy to start the second part of your hike. Discover the amazing coastal section that is not only a natural monument but also the oldest part of the island. Hike along the rugged coastline to a secluded black beach with a giant monolith with a big hole in the middle. Listen to the legend about this mystic place within a nature unspoiled. Walk back to the village of Ajuy and enjoy a coffee stop. Complete the day in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere before returning to your hotel.

Your experienced tour guide will introduce you to five Fuerteventura goats. Feed them with corn, an experience you will love. They’ll never forget being accompanied by trained goats.  Watch the animals run free and take your turn walking them around on a leash. Through the guided hike you will get to know the unknown parts of the island where goat herders still live. Enjoy a traditional goat cheese as part of a traditional snack for lunch. Be stunned by the panoramic view over the mountains, a land filled with contrasts, shadows and light.

This excursion consists of two level 2 hikes in the south-southwest area of the island within the Natural Park of Jandia. You will be driven to the southwest end of the peninsula of Jandia, Punta Pecebre, once we reach our destination, you will start your first route. This route will take us northeast along the imposing windward coast, to then enter a sandy area, leaving to our right the remains of an ancient volcanic building called Talahijas, which will accompany us to the ravine of Agua Cabras, which as its name suggests, runs a small thread of salty water (not always active) where goats have been satisfiying their thirst for centuries. Once arrived at this beautiful place we will only miss about 300 m to see the wild and beautiful beach of el Junquillo and la Punta del Junquillo. After a short break you will undo your steps having another perspective of the coast, to return to our vehicle and head to another natural wonder that gives us the Natural Park of Jandia, Playa de Ojos. You will continue your journey with our vehicle to the Punta de Jandia lighthouse where you will see the imposing and dangerous rocky shallows of la punta, after the photos we will head to el Puertito where you will have free time to have a drink in the restaurants or cool off with a swim (at your own risk). Once you have recharged your batteries we will drive with our van to one of the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery of Fuerteventura, Cofete. We will make a stop at the famous Winter House to contemplate it from the outside and then head to the old cemetery of Cofete. After the mandatory photos of such majestic scenery, we will head to the starting point of our second hike; between cardones and a unique scenery we will descend through a ravine full of volcanic formations to the wild coast of Cofete. Once we arrived at the beach, we wil take off our shoes and head south, until we reach an imposing stone monolith known as El Roque del Moro. After a rest we will retrace our steps back to the vehicle to return home after this unforgettable day.

Finally, head toward the Natural Monument of Cardón Mountain, where your last hike of the day will take place. Hike along La Pared, the west coast of the island. After we will return to our vehicle and ride back home.
