Begin your Freycinet National Park adventure in Coles Bay by boarding the Naturaliste for a spectacular sea cruise down to Schouten Island, the southernmost part of Freycinet National Park (weather permitting). On the way, keep a lookout for pods of playful dolphins. After a picnic lunch and swim, choose between a short but steep climb up Bear Hill for expansive views of the Freycinet Peninsula, or fish for flathead in Schouten Passage. Return to Coles Bay by boat, then transfer to Friendly Beaches Lodge for an evening meal of fresh fish and great local wine. Day 2 On the second day, there are 2 walks to choose from. The first option is to take a 7-hour, 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) moderate coastal walk from Bryan’s Beach journeys through sclerophyll forests and along beaches to the renowned Wineglass Bay. Along the way, encounter unforgettable up-close moments with local Australian wildlife. Alternatively, if you're seeking a serious challenge, opt for the climb from Cook’s Beach to the top of Mt Graham (579 meters/1,900 feet above sea level) where you’ll enjoy wonderful views of The Hazards’ dusky pink rock outcrops, before descending to Wineglass Bay via spectacular Quartzite Ridge. This is a difficult 16-kilometer (almost 10-mile) hike that takes about 8 hours. The two groups rejoin at Wineglass Bay in the late afternoon – the perfect time to swim, enjoy a cup of tea, and exchange stories about the morning’s adventures. Feeling refreshed, take the climb to Wineglass Bay Lookout for iconic views, before descending to the waiting vehicle to transfer you back to the Lodge. What people are saying about Freycinet Peninsula

Review From start to finish this experience is amazing. Freycinet itself is breathtakingly beautiful, but being led on the less taken tracks by incredibly knowledgeable guides really makes the experience something special. Our guides Emma and Brayden were both are so passionate about the flora, fauna and history of the park and Tasmania as a whole. They would answer any questions the group had on top of all the information they had to share. Our lodge hosts Marcela and Flicka were also fantastic! Not only was every piece of food so tasty, but they were a wealth of knowledge on the area. The lodge itself is exactly as stated in the description and you’ll learn more about the history when you arrive. The walks are on less taken tracks and for the most part, our group were the only people we saw. Communication from the guides and hosts on what we are doing and when was incredible and my expectations matched the information every time. I highly recommend this experience:)

Beautiful trip with two phenomenal guides Steve & Misty. On this tour you’ll experience the best of the best locations Tassie has to offer. The knowledgeable & passionate guides will eagerly answer questions & ensure you’re having a good time to enjoy the day at your own pace. Not only will you be experiencing the great TASSIE outdoors, you’ll be surrounded by kind & genuine folks seeking to explore & connect with one another. 100% recommend doing this tour solo or with a couple of mates when down in Van Diemen’s Land. A big thank you to Steve & Misty & to the many new friendships for making this trip ever so magical & one to remember.

We certainly got the highlights of Tasmsnia on this tour. We were fortunate to have an excellent guide in Misty. She was so knowledgeable and had a great personality and through her our mixed party of 24 gelled perfectly together. The days are long but packed with interest. Could have done with more than a brief stay in Sheffield, the town of murals. Difficult as it would have meant less time in the national park. Totally recommend this trip.

First time to Tasmania and I am glad I took the tour with under down under tours. The guides are excellent, reliable and responsible. Both my wife and me enjoyed the trip a lot. The accomodations are also good and comfortable. Excellent!! Will definitely recommend to friends. Fast response to pre-trip enquiries too.

Enjoy the strenuous activities with the group and the excellent tour guide/driver.
