Denne turen var veldig fin, med mye flott natur og arkitektur, og man føler virkelig at man er på oppdagelsesferd! Turen gikk fra Kakórrema og følger merkede stier opp til Manolates (ikke helt som beskrevet av TUI, men veldig fint). Guiden var kunnskapsrik, men kunne gjerne ha tatt litt flere pauser med felles "foredrag"; på turen vår ble ting tatt mens man gikk, noe som gjorde at ikke alle fikk høre alt. OBS: Turen krever at man er i form til å gå opp bratte smale stier.
Northern Samos is a hiker's paradise of sweeping valleys, vineyards and shady forests. You'll join a guided walk starting at the mountain village of Manolates for a full day's hillside walking at its very best.
Before setting off, you'll meet with the guide for a briefing, then it's time to hit the trail. You'll take the path across Nightingale Valley, winding its way between aromatic vineyards and eventually crossing the bubbling River Kakorema. Afterwards, the trail continues to the mountainside village of Manolates through a cool shady forest.
In Manolates village we'll stop for an hour to discover the artists' workshops and if you like you can have lunch in one of the tavernas. Then we'll head downhill into Platanakia – the largest plane tree forest in Samos, from where we'll be picked up for the return transfer.
