The Akrotiri peninsula is your stomping ground on this thrilling three-hour buggy tour from Limassol. You'll see lots of local landmarks and even rev it up on a motocross track. The experience has the added exoticism of taking place mostly in the United Kingdom, as Akrotiri is British sovereign territory.
The fun kicks off after a safety briefing, with a ride to the famous Lady's Mile Beach, on the east coast of the peninsula. You'll then cut inland and skirt the shoreline of Limassol Salt Lake. After roaming through the motocross track, you'll spot the dinky 13th century Holy Monastery of St Nicholas of the Cats among the orchards.
It soon gets really dusty and dirty as you rumble over the Sand Hills en route to turtle nesting beaches. Next up is a photo stop at the rusting hulk of the Akrotiri shipwreck before zooming on to Kourion beach for the tour's finale.
