Enjoy a traditional “6 Bridges Cruise” along the River Douro and follow in the footsteps of the old wine merchants that transported wine from the valley to the wine cellars. Board the boat at Ribeira Quay and sail along the sparkling Douro river. Admire the beautiful landscapes and red-roofed buildings of the towns of Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water. Let the old-fashioned charm of the Rabelo Boat (old wine transport ship) transport you back in time. Listen as your guide tells you about the historic bridges that connect Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, as your boat glides under them. For the perfect finish, pass through two of the most beautiful city parks of Porto, filled with green spaces, lakes and birds. The tour finishes at the starting point, which means that you can leave your belongings in the tour operators lockers if you wish.

What people are saying about Foz do Douro

Eduarda was a great guide. She took time to make sure we were safe. Was very knowledgeable about the points of interest. The tour was extensive and interesting with many great photo opportunities. She spoke very good English and also provided useful recommendations for places to visit and eat.

We took the River Douro 6 Bridges Cruise on our first night in Porto, and it was a great way to kick off our trip. It was the best way to see all the bridges in the city and gave us some really good photo opportunities. I would only you that it can get pretty windy even on a warm day.

It was easy to find the dock/boat and great views of the city. Also, the commentary was in English and Portuguese.

Our guide was super friendly and was very knowledgeable re Porto.

Good experience for value, enjoy a boat ride and see the bridges
