Full description
In the just-opened Medici Family Museum, you’ll find stories about all the characters of the Medici family: beautiful ladies, cardinals, popes, alchemist, knights, queens, and more. Take a 2-hour guided adventure through this fascinating museum with a specialized guide who will teach you all about this fascinating family. Among the many exhibitions, you’ll see a hologram of Cosimo the First’s grand-ducal crown, the official dress of Eleonora di Toledo, and their opulently set table. You’ll be carried away by the Renaissance music of the compositions of Lorenzo the Magnificent and of the unfortunate Isabella de Medici, who was murdered by her husband out of jealousy. The Medici also collected strange stuffed animals, some of which you’ll see displayed. End the tour with a Chianti wine tasting, a wine designated by Cosimo the Third, the first disciplinary of the Chianti League.
