Along the way, your guide will give you a thorough introduction to the region. After you arrive, the rest of the day’s activities are up to you. With the whole day free, it’s up to you as to where you go or how you spend your time. Take a scenic boat or train transfers to the 4 other villages of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso al Mare, and Corniglia.

Wander the cobblestone streets and marvel at the closely-packed, pastel-colored houses rising up from the coast. Head down to one of the many stunning beaches for white sand and crystal clear waters. Although it was quite hot when we visited Cinque Terre for a day during the 3rd week of July, it was a very nice experience to see 4 out of the 5 iconic seaside villages. The guide Constantino was very friendly with a nice sense of humor. If I had better idea about the places beforehand, I would have probably liked to stay there for 2-3 days (although it could be expensive!) to enjoy the ambience of the villages and the company of new people. Would definitely recommend fellow travellers to check out this place.

Marta, Antonela and Lucca were amazing! Polite, fun, lively guides with lots of interesting tips about the places where we stopped. Everything went according to the tour description and the guides' instructions at each stop. It is worth noting that it is an excursion that uses transport tickets with scheduled times, so missing the time can mean missing the tour, the train or the boat will not wait.

I especially appreciated Manarola, which is still a somewhat authentic village with its fishing boats and its promenade along the cliffs. The other villages are much more touristy but that's a bit normal. Many people even for a month of September. The guide was well organized and everything went well.
