Full description
Drive through a cedar forest and see the resident monkeys, before descending to the Sahara Desert. Arrive at the traditional kasbah at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on a camel ride across the dunes. At the Berber camp, enjoy mint tea and dinner, gaze at the stars and spend the night in a tent. On the second day visit Merzouga, Tinghir and Ouarzazate. Head out on the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs along the ancient caravan route. This area has been a popular location for Hollywood films, such as The Last Temptation of Christ and Jewel of the Nile. Stop for lunch and a walk in Todgha Gorges and then travel through the Dadès Valley past dramatic escarpments. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in the Gorges or in Ouarzazate.

We loved our tour. Mustapher, our driver, our tour guide, is great. He is prompt, knowledgeable, detail in all aspect, and good conservationist. We are a group of 3 friends+ Patrick, who we met in this tour, total 4. We had so much fun, good conversation, good information regarding Morocco, the country, different types of cultures, family etc. We get to see so much of this region, from Fez to Marrakech, different villages, towns, "cities" etc. He made different stops for us to experience the towns, and stretches. It's a lot of car time, but a lot of interesting, fantastic view. The Sahara desert is amazing, sunset, camel ride, Berber tent, dinner, camp fire and dancing. The next morning, we watch the sunrise, yummy breakfast, more camel ride, more sight seeing and learning from Mustapher, until the 2nd night in a beautiful hotel, we loved it. Great hot shower, yummy buffet dinner, great accommodation, and yummy buffet breakfast in the morning. Highlight of our trip. LoveLove

We definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco for at least 4 days. There is quite a large amount of time spent in the car, though it is worth the effort and wait. You will enjoy the trip, seeing breathtaking natural landscapes, and the destinations, experiencing true customs as a local. Both drivers (we had Simo and Mohamed) and the guides (at the desert camp and in Rissani market) are well informed, flexible, extremely kind and professional! The hotel and its facilities in ouarzazate were simply perfect.
