Full description
Your 1-hour snowmobile tour will begin at our headquarters in North Pole with a brief safety orientation and a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee. Then, you’ll be whisked off to explore the local breathtaking surroundings by snowmobile, through a beautiful winter wonderland. Cross frozen lakes and rivers, see scenic mountains, endless remote trails and hopefully some wildlife along the way. Look out for moose, foxes and snowshoe hares. The Chena Lakes Recreation area offers a variety of beautiful and well-maintained trails, lakes and rivers ensuring that you have the adventure of a lifetime. This area is easily accessible and great for beginner riders but also far enough out of the city to give the sense of the Alaskan wilderness.

Know before you go

  • There is the option to ride with either one or two people on the snowmobile
  • You must be over the age of 18 and hold a current driver's license to ride as a 'single rider'
  • Children under 6 years of age are not permitted. Children 7 years and above must be able to touch the running boards to ride. For safety reasons they will not be permitted to ride if they are unable to
  • You must arrive 30 mins before the start time of your tour for your safety briefing. (Time will be reduced if arriving late). Please understand, that any delay to your start time may reduce the length of time of your tour to avoid inconveniencing the next tour group. If you are running 15 minutes or more late you will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for any refund
  • There is no transportation to/from the tour location. Please contact the tour provider directly for directions

An excellent place, I did the tour at 14:00 and in the place where we drove there was an excellent sunset. They provide good equipment to avoid cold and safety.
