Discover the Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. It is a diverse landscape providing crucial habitats for numerous rare and endangered species. The sawgrass is often so dense that travel is only possible through natural water passages. The lush vegetation of the Everglades also includes mangrove, cypress, palms, pines, and hardwood hammocks (small islands). Ride on an airboat, which is designed to operate well in shallow water and marshlands. Propelled by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an...

Overall was good. Really enjoyed the Everglades tour. Would suggest some earplugs for those with sensitive hearing. Loud when going at high speed. Transfer from bus to boat rental was a little stressful. The instructions did not mention needing printed receipt for boat tour from bus personnel first. Hurried down to make reservations and then had to come back for receipt and go back again. We were not the only ones. Bus tour nice, relaxing, nothing exciting but did see a lot of the city. Boat tour was good. Nice trip, pleasant guide. Suggest bringing drinks/snacks if doing all 3 in 1 day like we did.

We had a good time! It was not clear when booking that you would be on a shuttle bus with 75 other people and that you would spend 1 additional hour each way picking up and dropping off the other passengers. We booked our ticket with a transportation from our hotel. Just be sure when you book this option you know it is not a private car service to the Everglades. Other than the wasted 2 hours picking up and dropping off other passengers it was a good excursion. Thank you.

The entire Everglades area, including Everglades National Park, is a wonderful place for birding. With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than its geological features. However, most of the 1.5 million acres in the park are flooded, and essentially out of reach for the average birder and photographer. This tour provides you with the opportunity to take your equipment to these areas; this experience is only for 1 or 2 participants, and there is plenty of room to take your tripods. Maximize your photo shooting opportunities on this 2.5-hour private experience. On other tours, your guide must balance the needs and desires of all aboard, but with this private tour, you are the focus. If you need to reposition for lighting, wait until a particular subject is where you want them to be,...
Don, my guide was a great tour leader. Took me to truly spectacularly areas filled with wonderful wildlife. His natural history knowledge made the trip a success in that he knew where to find the birds and how to approach them without scaring them away allowing me to get some amazing wildlife photos. It was the best part of my time in the Everglades area

Dan was a great tour guide. We saw several dolphins, a manatee, and lots of birds. Dan explained the ecosystem of the area and new all the mangroves and his way around and through them like the expert he was. I highly recommend this tour.
