Muggles may not be allowed inside the real Hogwarts, but Harry Potter fans will rejoice at the chance to explore the Warner Brothers Studio, where all the movies were shot. Here are five magical highlights from the Harry Potter universe that await you.
Step aboard the real Hogwarts Express steam engine used in the films and relive Harry's magical rides to Hogwarts – just for those who know how to get to Platform 9 3/4, of course.
Visit the movie sets: if you always wanted to walk across the Great Hall, snoop through Dumbledore's Office, or hang out in the Gryffindor Common Room, now's your chance!
How does Harry disappear behind the invisibility cloak? Does the Great Hall's ceiling really reflect the sky? Find out all the secrets behind the movie's magical special effects.
Over 200 magical creatures were created for the films. You'll get the chance to meet house elves and the Gringotts goblins, and to say hi to Hagrid's friends, Buckbeak and Aragog.
What would a wizard be without his robes, wands, and cauldrons? These and countless other magical items from across the series are on display.
Activity Passports are available for free from the info desk by the entrance. If you're there with kids, definitely grab one as it includes fun activities such as a Golden Snitch hunt and six passport stamps to collect throughout the studio – a great souvenir to take home!
If you're coming by public transport, take the train to Watford Junction and from there, ride the Harry Potter double decker bus to the studios. It's a more convenient way to get there than by regular transport, as it's cheap, the buses come roughly every 10 minutes, and they drop you directly at the entrance to the studios.
The tour itself was great. Friendly staff and my family enjoyed the photoshoot and the video souvenir. However, Get ur Guide made a last minute cancellation 23 days before the day of the tour, saying their "local tour partner did not have enough spots" for my family with the specific time I booked. They emailed me about and I did not see the email a week after. They offered me for another day "if this will work with your schedule" At the time the prices for the tour for another day went up and it was also an inconvenience that we had to change the day. They offered me a discount for the inconvenience, which I accepted. Therefore, ensure when booking with this company, ensure that your booking is confirmed and that there is enough seats/slots.
I took my girls here and we had a wonderful time. Everything you will see is from the set. They have places to stop for photos, videos & lunch. The transportation there and back was definitely a plus, but there was no sound on the Harry Potter bus, so we just watched it like a old silent film. . They did have phone chargers on the bus, but not on the bus heading back to London. Fun Times!
This is a must for any Harry Potter fan, no matter your age. Even if you aren’t a super fan, you’ll be amazed at how fantastic this place is. The detail and thought that has gone into making this a remarkable tour is great.
Awesome day! It was a bit long but never felt too awful in the bus. The tour guide gave us plenty of places to visit at Oxford and was detailed about where and when to meet. Overall, it was a great day!
Was amazing we where a family of 5 kids from 7 to 13 year old and they all loved it as well as us adults. From pick up to drop off our driver Could not have been any nicer.
