Rome: Easter Basilica Tour
- Small group
- Duration: 3 hours
We booked this tour because we were travelling with our nine year old grandson. We felt eliminating waiting in line and having someone other than parents or grandparents talking would be optimal. It was. Paola certainly focused on our grandson but the tour was informative and humorous for the adults as well. Our grandson and all of us had a great experience and a large part of that was Paola"s engaging style.
Good for use in Vatican city and for seeing a few of the key Rome tourist places but two things about the bus. Firstly, the route needs to be bigger or run a second circuit. Secondly, the bus stops are really unclear when you are in the street looking for it. The staff on the buses are exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful. The 'inclusives' for site visits are good. Value for money? Probably.
Donato did an excellent job as oir guide with my 11yr old son. My son enjoyed the tour and mentioned he really liked Donato, becsuse of his friendliness and the way he explained everything to us. Logistics were super clear, I received specific instructions on who my guide was going to be and were to meet him a day before. Everything was great, I highly recommend!
Paolo was an amazing guide. She was very informative but also new how to make it interesting for our 2 sons aged 10&13 years. It was an extremely hot day and very busy even with skip the line tickets you still have to stand in ques. Tip try avoid going on a Monday ( very busy as its closed on Sunday) . Well worth paying for a small private tour.
This tour was a highlight of our whole trip. Alex, our guide, was great! The Vatican is overwhelming to children and we had two -- ages 7 and 11. They had a great time in terrible heat and unbelievable crowds -- all thanks to our great guide. Thank you
