Las arenas del tiempo apenas han pasado por Patmos desde que San Juan recibiera aquí su Apocalipsis hace 2.000 años, lo que convierte una excursión de un día a la isla en una experiencia fascinante. Tomaremos el ferry hasta esta isla cargada de historia situada al sur de Samos y visitaremos el Monasterio de San Juan, la Cueva del Apocalipsis y los pueblos de Chora y Skala.

Al bajar del barco, le llamarán la atención los muros torreados del monasterio de San Juan. Se elevan sobre toda la isla y dan la impresión de un castillo fortificado más que de una abadía. Fundado en el siglo XI, Patmos llegó a ser conocida como la "Jerusalén del Egeo". Su guía le explicará su fascinante historia antes de adentrarnos por las calles encaladas de Chora para visitar la Cueva del Apocalipsis.

Y este viaje no se limita a la historia y el patrimonio: dispondrá de mucho tiempo libre para relajarse y pasear por los encantadores alrededores del puerto de Skala antes de zarpar de regreso a Samos.
