Matt was one of the best tour guides, and I’d highly recommend him in the future. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the history of Ireland, and he shares that history in an easily understandable way — such that you’re continuing to pay attention to learn more, rather than zoning out. He has a gift with his storytelling ability (except the stories he’s sharing are true to history!). I also appreciated how approachable he was, naturally making light conversation with the passengers in our van. I felt terrible at the end when I realized I didn’t have enough cash as change to properly tip him, so I really hope this review helps things just a bit… as he is truly one of the best!

Great tour! The driver explained a lot in detail and gave little additional information from time to time, with which you could also learn a lot about the country and the landscape. He was very personable and funny! The group was pleasantly small and you could get to know each other and make friends. If I come back to Ireland I would book an excursion with the same company.

very nice tour. First it goes to the Powerscourt House & Gardens, where the gardens and a distillery can be visited. Then drive through the Wicklow Mountains with a stop at Guinness Lake/Lough Tay as a famous film backdrop. Then Glendalough will be visited. The tour was conducted by minibus, we were 7 people in the tour. good guide

Well-planned tour with an amazing guide. Matt told us so many interesting facts about Ireland that we didn't know what to google first. He took the liberty to change our route slightly and it was worth it! We would recommend Hilltoptreks to anyone looking for a great tour and would book them again!
