It's a very long time just commuting on the boat and they cram so many ppl in there that the ride is uncomfortable. I think this tour caters to Italians, I felt English was definately a minority. I'm not even sure what kind of meat I was eating at the lunch. U stop for 2 hrs on one island in the park and it's nice there but not sure if the commute is worth it. Donkey farm is advertised but it's just a fenced off piece of land and I only saw 2 donkeys. The other stop is just a town fairly close to zadar and nothing really to see here. Be careful when buying tickets, check if entrance to park is included cuz mine wasn't and I didn't realize till after
As we do not drive, Marija was very nice to change our booked date to a day when they have organised transport from Zadar city. The group was not too big - about 20 of us (10 boats) - so the guides give each of us enough attention to prepare us for the more challenging part. The route taken for canoeing was well planned out, with calm water that is easy to paddle at the start. It becomes more interesting towards the end as we grasped the gist of paddling and were able to paddle through more challenging (but safe) water. Superb experience!
it's a long boat ride if you have preschoolers. I didn't realize it was going to be a long boat trip with only one stop. I thought we would stop twice to swim. if you're traveling with small kids I would recommend bringing something on the boat for them to do. it was a good trip though!
If you go: Go to the rocks to dive off near the end of the salt lake. There were lots of cliffs to jump off and was great for swimming and snorkeling. Bring sandals which work well on sharp rocks. The boat ride was a lot of fun.
Nick was an excellent host and skipper that enthusiastically showed us some of the best spots. Great swimming opportunities in the open sea and in beautiful lagoons! Made a hot day an unforgettable cool experience!
