Everyone who loves great literature should pay homage to the Brontës!

The drive is slightly tedious from York, but once in the house where the Brontë sisters created masterpieces, all that is forgotten and the mind tries to grasp the creative genius of three brilliant, wildly creative sisters. The Brontë Parsonage exudes a wonderful aura. The exhibit almost makes their bursting imagination come alive, and for fans of their great books, and I am one, being in their home is a thrill.

We had a lovely day at Haworth and Bronte Country. En route we visited Ilkey Moor, and Saltsmill. We had lunch in Haworth at the Kings Arms, which was amazing and then walked around Haworth. I have visited the Parsonage many times before, so we didn't go in again, but it was a great day out. Travelling back we visited Bolton Abbey. If you are having ice-cream here hold onto it as the wafers are very thin.
