What people are saying about Warnemünde
Our guide, Ringo was waiting for our small group of seven off the ship on a cold miserable day. Off we set by train to Schwerin where Ringo showcased this beautiful town and gave us the history and we explored Schwerin Palace and the museum (all included). Lunch was in a delightful restaurant with wine and beer (also included). A short train trip to Rostock where St Maien's Church was showcased, the highlight the astronomical clock. We arrived back in Warnemunde with time to explore on our own. Fantastic day by all.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were the only ones on the tour. Lisa expertly guided us thru Warnemunde, Schwerin, and Rostok pointing out many historical and cultural highlights. I appreciated that she took time to personalize the day with insights on everything from food, transportation, to family life. We had a magical stop on our sunny afternoon watching the children play in the Rostok square fountain.
Bern guided us on an exceptional tour of Schwerin Castle and Rostock. As a retired professor from Rostock University, he was highly qualified to present us with the most significant highlights of areas that he knew so well: history, culture and art. He was a fluent English speaker with world travel experience. We enjoyed his company and enthusiastically recommend him as a guide.
We had a guide - Anne and a driver (sorry not remember the name) who were very cooperative and responsive to our needs and wishes. We visited a fabulous castle in Schwerin as well as the town itself, visited Rostock and made some sightseeing drives in Warnemunde and Bad Dobran. Excellent tour for one day off a cruise ship in Wrnemunde.
Day to swherin castle and Rostock was very informative. The guide was waiting as promised outside the cruise terminal and was easy to find and contact. The whole day went off without a hitch and can highly recommend GetYourGuide
