Informative fun and extensive cooking lesson!!

We loved this activity!! Firstly we were pleasantly surprised by the market tour-- it was extensive and we got to sample dozens of truffle products, balsamic vinegars, wines, biscotti, etc. all led by a marketplace staffer who was very knowledgeable. We appreciated this bonus lesson and tasting that we weren't expecting. At the cooking school the group size (8) was small enough so that the chef got to instruct each of us and we all had ample space to cook and enough tasks to do. We learned so much from our kind chef Julio (even simple cooking skills like dicing vegetables and folding dough) and the food was sooo good. Ragu sauce with pasta, bruschetta, tiramisu, red wine. We had a huge quantity so it filled us up for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this activity! You'll leave stuffed with food and will know how to make fresh pasta and sauces, and it is a long activity so I feel it's well worth the cost. Thanks Julio!!

Learn how to make Italian food with the best!

Absolutely great cooking class! Chef Emanuelle was fantastic, entertaining and so very knowledgeable. We learned how to make Italian Ragu and egg pasta, which was delicious and amazing! Chef Emanuelle told us the history of certain types of food, taught us the various techniques, everyone got their turn to chop vegetables, make pasta and stir the pot of ragu. It was truly a group effort and we learned so much! I would highly recommend taking this class and would definitely take it again, it was so much fun.

A cultural experience which enriched our break

We learnt much about choosing and buying local food and typical dishes and foods of Tuscany as well as how to cook. The food market was in a different area to where we had visited before giving us more of an insight into local produce and shopping. We learnt for the first time ever how easy it is to make fresh pasta, the ingredients for Ragu and how to make traditional tiramisu. It was very satisfying to eat what we had prepared and cooked and we learnt loads from the very friendly and informative Chef.

Chef A 10 BUT 1 girl didn't speak English. Too long to translate.

Disappointed our class was Not for English only students. We lost the flow of class while translating Spanish for 1 woman. It was frustrating for our group of 6. Our chef was excellent and had patience for the lady. Toward the middle of class it was getting frustrating waiting for her translation and questions.. why does your picture show students & Chef wearing hats. WE weren't provided with any.

Was a really enjoyable tour with the tasting and cooking, recommended.

I enjoyed both parts of the tour - the tasting at the markets was fun, and delicious. The cooking session had some useful hints and tips and a little bit of hands on as well - and it was lovely to eat the results. Julio did a great job. My only request would be for some stools to perch on during the cooking part - there was a lot of standing.
