  • Swim in a crystal clear underground lake
  • See the ancient Mayan lighthouse
  • Taste some authentic food
Full description
During this tour, visit Coba, an ancient city lost in the rainforest, where the tallest pyramid on the peninsula stands 42 meters tall. Climb and contemplate a spectacular view from the top of it.

Take a ride on pedicabs conducted by native Mayan people, find lost temples and pyramids, and learn the true significance of the date 21.12.2012, engraved into one of the columns several centuries ago.

After Coba, visit the picturesque city of Tulum, placed on the edge of the rock, see the temple of murals, the ancient lighthouse, the high-class house, and take some pictures by the majestic ruins and Caribbean sea. Also visit a small Mayan village. Traditionally, Mayan people still live near the source of fresh water, and this is why you will take a swim in a cenote, see where modern Mayan people live, and enjoy a lunch based on traditional Mayan recipes.

Good selection of places to visit. Each one is different. Since it was combining people from different locations to fill up the big tour bus, it took a long time to get to the first stop. We waited to be pick up by a shuttle van at 7am but we didn't get on the tour bus until 8:30am. We had lunch at 3pm which is too later. The lunch was buffet and pretty good. However, some food ran out since we were at the end of the line. The tour company did try to get us back faster via toll roads. Then had shuttle vans to transfer us back at a good location so return trip is much faster. Really appreciate them doing this since everyone is tried at the end of the day.

Very successful trip, small deductions ...

A great trip and a long day! Of course, the transfer times take the longest. On the one hand, because all passengers must first be collected, and on the other hand, because you simply have to drive a few kilometers. Positive: we were informed by phone about the delay in picking up in the hotel lobby. The van was well equipped (air conditioning and WiFi), but there was a lack of legroom, which is annoying and uncomfortable on these long journeys! Unfortunately, our tour was a linguistic mix, as the guide kept switching between Spanish and English. It will be difficult to keep up and you have to be extremely attentive! Otherwise a great guide with a lot of background knowledge. At the individual stations there was always free time after the tour by the guide, in which you could explore everything yourself. There was always chilled water. The food was mediocre. The visit to the Maya village at the end might have been canceled.
