Our guide Jacek arrived at our hotel at the pickup time. He was very chatty and friendly as we drove to Treblinka. Once at the Treblinka site we first looked around the museum and our guide explained the displays, their significance and then organised for us to watch some short films. Jacek waited for us outside, allow my wife and I to take our time and not feel rushed. We then walked to the camp. Jacek was constantly explaining what we were seeing, marked by various stones or displays. We felt that having Jacek describe, highlight the horrors that occurred at Treblinka helped to make our visit extra special, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. On the way back we stopped at the restaurant for lunch which was delicious. Strongly recommend.
Very, very interesting but very, very sad. A reminder to fight all the populism movements showing its ugly face in Europe. Mr Salvini, Mr Åkesson, Mr Farage, Madmouiselle LePen etc. SHOULD go and visit Treblinka or Auschwitz. Perhaps they could learn something from history.
Our guide Jacek was informative and nice to travel with. He told us about the day, gave us some time choices and also showed and explained several related sites in Warsaw. The trip to Treblinka was very emotional for our group and Jacek made the day trip very worthwhile.
Jerzy was a courteous professional his understanding and ability to communicate the events made the whole experience. We thought the tour was remarkable and would highly recommend others to do the same
Visiting Treblinka was a very somber, but also important, experience. Gosia from Warsaw Sightseeing is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, and I enjoyed both the tour and our conversation.
