After some initial uncertainty I decided to book the Roma pass rather than book our tickets individually. Initially the information given on the website is not very good so I wasn't entirely sure which things were and were not included, or even how it worked. However when we went to pick up the pass they explained that you then book onto your vatican ticket time we we booked for the following day. When you meet for your time, the guide takes you around to the Vatican entrance skipping the line and then you are in and left to see it by yourselves. However the guide never really explained this, rather he just guided us in, beeped our passes and that was that!! It would have been nice even if they had explained a little about the process! Overall the pass was brilliant and we saw more than we would have done without it. Didn't intend to use the hop on bus tour, but used it as transport to get around when we had walked so much already! Hightly recommended on balance.
V useful, metro is simple to use, no Qjump on Wed @ Vatican or chapel, bus is great for an overview (idea) of city. Skip the que at colosseum, this does save alot of time especially if you have travelled far. Staff at card collection point V helpful, good value for money. Lots of churchs/public places are free entry and then charge for the extra bit, like the lift at della patria or lower level at St. Clement Basilica. Overall I'd recommend this. Hassle free holiday.
Good for use in Vatican city and for seeing a few of the key Rome tourist places but two things about the bus. Firstly, the route needs to be bigger or run a second circuit. Secondly, the bus stops are really unclear when you are in the street looking for it. The staff on the buses are exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful. The 'inclusives' for site visits are good. Value for money? Probably.
Perfect for us, very helpfull. Still, I would find very useful a meeting point at Termini Station, where are all the connections for the city. Nevertheless, I think it was a good idea to take the offers.
Not enough time to visit all attractions we had planned to. Writing on map supplied too small, though practical to use as folds down easily.
