Rome to Pompeii full day tour with Paolo

We were on a cruise ship to Rome and decided to visit Pompeii for the day. We docked at the port of Civitavecchia and our driver Pino was there waiting for us, he spoke good English and his driving was very good too, it didn't take that long to get to Pompeii and the ride wasn't bad. We arrived at the entrance of Pompeii ruins as planned and Paolo was there waiting for us, a very nice gentleman! He is an official guide and we didn't have to wait in the queue for the tickets, he was able to show us the most important things of Pompeii and we really enjoyed it. The ride back to the port of Rome was great, not a lot of traffic and we arrived on time. We really enjoyed the tour, thank you very much to both Paolo and Pino!

Such a great insight to what life was like 79AD

Brilliant tour, our guide Lucia was brilliant had such knowledge of what happened at that time. Explained about the buildings & who lived there & how; small details that you would miss probably if you did it without a guide. Really didn't have any questions by the end as she had covered everything! Can not recommend this enough

Amazing experience enhanced by a friendly & knowledgeable guide.

I cannot fault this tour. The lady guide was so hospitable and made the tour very interesting, and the use of a headset ensured we could always hear her, as it was crowded. Also having the entry ticket included in the price, saved a lot of queuing to enter the site. I would highly recommend this tour & company.
