Madrid: Opera and Zarzuela Show and Dinner
- Duration: 3 hours
I really enjoyed the time spent there. There are three hours of good music, food and interaction with the staff (who is amazing). If you really like operetta (for any reasons they call it there "zarzuela") just go for this activity, which is a show combined with exquisite dinner. The singers, desguised in waiters, perform a selection of the best areas from well known operettas, moving around customers' tables.
I wanted to see Madrid after spending 4 days in Barcelona. The hop on hop off was ideal as I only had 1 day to do so. New Year's Eve only allowed the commuters to enjoy this with shorter hours but nevertheless, I enjoyed the Route 1 and Route 2 tours. My only complaint was the bus was not fully heated.
Food was well presented , tasty and delivered in a timely fashion . Waiter was pleasant and engaged with us . The singers who performed excellently and also engaged well with the patrons leading to a very enjoyable relaxed evening.
The first around tours gives the possibility to understand how to use it for the second basic one . For the second one it is recommended to take the ticket for two days .
It was a wonderful experience, however, keep in mind that they only speak Spanish. So if you don’t understand the language, you’ll still enjoy the show but not entirely.
