Taipei, Taiwan is an exotic location filled with unique, exciting culture and incredible natural beauty. Whatever your interests, Taipei is a great destination for every vacationer.

The Taipei Half-Day City Tour is perhaps the best way to soak up the highlights of the historic city, and at a length of only three hours, it still leaves most of the day open for other activities. The tour includes a stop at the elaborate Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, including historic films, photographs and documents. Another highlight is the Martyrs' Shrine, an incredible piece of Ming Dynasty architecture and a must see for any history buff. Tourists will also experience the National Palace Museum, widely considered one of the world's greatest museums, which not only features priceless treasures from ancient Chinese dynasties, but also foreign pieces from all around the world.

For nature lovers, Taipei certainly does not disappoint. One of the best ways to experience both the natural wonder of Taiwan is with the Wulai Aboriginal Village Half-Day Tour. On this tour, visitors can explore the Wulai mountain village and experience the unique culture of the aboriginal Tai Ya Tribe. The tour includes the breathtaking 80-meters high Wulai Waterfall, the lovely Swallow Lake, and a singing and dancing show by aboriginal people.

Taipei, Taiwan is an amazing and truly unique destination that offers something for everyone to enjoy.

What people are saying about Taipei

It was good, helpful and the guys were nice.

I felt the museum/town was rushed. We didn't need to spend so much time at the lake, since it was too hot to walk down the hill and back up. I would've preferred more time at the Tea Museum (we were very rushed) and more time walking through the tea shops in Pinglin. Thank you! I enjoyed it for the most part. Maybe having a meeting spot central - it would give the guides more time to get us to the venue and explore instead of so many pick ups and drop offs.

Beautiful Scenery and an Excellent Guide

The views and scenery on this tour are breathtaking. Our guide, Joseph, was also fantastic. He had so much knowledge of the area and about tea. Although I was initially not that passionate about tea, I was there for the scenery, Joseph’s enthusiasm was infectious and was soon as interested in learning about the different kinds of tea. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent english speaking guide with flexible personalized itinerary

Nelson was knowledgeable, informative, gracious and accommodating host. His English was excellent. The car was clean and comfortable and we so appreciated the free wi-fi (after being at sea with no connectivity). Nelson's driving was safe but with purpose. It was a rainy day but we still got to see so much and stuck to a tight end of day deadline.

An excellent way to see the best of Taiwan

The tour was excellently organised and the tour leader Alan Chou was first-rate. The pacing was good, the hotels were great and the man event, the visit to the Taroko Gorge, was given lots of time (unlike the comments on the one-day tour) so that we walked around and saw the whole thing. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Chiufen Village is too touristy to be genuinely interesting

Unfortunately it rained heavily the whole day so I cannot be 100% objective. On the way there were some interesting rock formations that we stopped for (in the rain). Chiufen is just one street with hundreds of little tourist shops and thousands of tourists crowding every inch. There was no kind of local culture.
