Full description
Day 1:
At 8:00 AM, you will start your day with a city overview tour. You will be able to see and take pictures of the most famous and beautiful sights of St. Petersburg, as well as become acquainted with the history of the city and the Romanov family. You can explore Pushkin (Tzarskoe Selo), visit the former Tsars' summer residence, and experience Catherine's Palace and Catherine's Park to see the eighth wonder of the world, the Amber Room.

After a big morning of exploration, it will be time for a traditional Russian lunch to recharge and regain your energy. Following your lunch, you will drive to Peterhof, which was another summer residence of Russian emperors. You will see the Upper Garden, which resembles Versailles in its layout, as well as the Lower Park Fountains. On the way back to the city you will have a short metro trip to discover that these underground interiors seem closer to palaces than they do subways. Return to the ship at 5:00 PM.

Day 2:
A canal cruise will start your day. You will visit Savior on the Spilled Blood Cathedral, one of the most beautiful and famous examples of traditional Russian architecture and art, such as stone carving and mosaics (there is more than 7000 m2 covered with mosaics here). Have free time for lunch in one of the local cafes (own expense). Then, visit Hermitage Museum which includes the 4 buildings of this ensemble: the Winter Palace, the small Hermitage, the new Hermitage, and the old Hermitage. This is followed by a tour of St. Isaac's Cathedral, where the dome is gilded with 100 kilograms of gold. St. Isaac's is ranked as number one in the world for the richness of its interior decoration. Return to your ship at 5:00 PM.
