There was no courtesy or civility from those that work there. For ticket taking, they simply took the ticket. NO welcome aboard I am here to assist you, just "give me the ticket". Again there is no "put whatever items in your hand down remove your shades if you would like to, to take a picture", just quick snap a picture. NO please pose for the picture, just a snap of the picture. The male taking a picture of me, has the nerve to get an ATTITUDE, after he has snapped a picture of me with a water in my hand a purse in the other hand and shades on, my eyes. After I ask him what just took place, it went so quick I had no idea. He said I took a picture for you. I said "no, not with these items in my hands and shades on, could you please take another picture I can be willing to pay for, he took the picture with an attitude. The so called musicians playing jazz, NO WHERE near PROFESSIONAL music being played. Quite a bit of conversation NOT MUSIC went on, on the mic, the music played poor
What a wonderful opportunity to learn about the way that New Orleanians celebrate life while honoring the dead. Our guide was extremely knowlegable, giving tremendous background to the creation and evolution of the cemetery, the political influences and unique civil rights issues of New Orleans, and the role of the Catholic church, as well as the contributions, peccadilloes, and eccentricities of prominent "residents" of The City. Her knowledge, along with her wit, made this an amazing afternoon that we will tuck into our memories of our favorite city. Thank you, Cindy. I would agree, you found your home here in NOLA.
Noce informative guide showed us the many parts which make up New Orleans besdies the French Quarter. Appreciated thee 2 stops : one to see a cemetery ans learn about their burial customs, the other at City Park with a chamce to buy beignets at Cafe du Monde and an opportunity to stroll around the Sculture Garden with lots of amazing modern art in a wonderful outdoor setting. Gave me an idea of where I wanted to exlore later as we went throigh the Garden and Warehoise District and sa aw the St Charles Streetcar. Good way to start my trip to New Orleans
Our tour guild Casey did a great job and was funny, knowledgeable and made our tour the highlight of our visit to New Orleans!
The driver was full of humor. I will have to do some of my own research now to be sure that what he told me was factual.
