My partner and me were visiting New Orleans for the first time and didn’t know much about the city. We booked Libby because her tour fascinated us and it was right choice. She was simply amazing, she confirmed booking right away. We met at local coffee shop and walked around the Garden District. She is very knowledgeable, easy going and interesting to listen to. She introduced a lot of information about history, culture and traditions. She explained architecture’s style and cemetery, she pointed out interesting sport and places to visit in the neighborhood. We had so much fun and felt in love with neighborhood and city itself. I would recommend her tour to everyone who wants to learn and explore New Orleans. We planning to come back and definitely get in touch with her again.
We took the garden district/Lafayette cemetery tour with James and it was a fantastic experience. He knows literally everything you could possibly want to know, back stories about the history, info about the vegetation, brings out the human side of tombs at the cemetery, and the architecture of the houses and their backstories. He knew what celebrities lived where and took his time telling us more when we showed interest and moved on faster on things we weren’t as interested in. We couldn’t have a better time! He even thought to offer to take photos of our group without us thinking to do it! He arrived early and made the whole process so easy. He even went as far as to give the two parts of our group directions to our next destinations! Thank you James!
Noce informative guide showed us the many parts which make up New Orleans besdies the French Quarter. Appreciated thee 2 stops : one to see a cemetery ans learn about their burial customs, the other at City Park with a chamce to buy beignets at Cafe du Monde and an opportunity to stroll around the Sculture Garden with lots of amazing modern art in a wonderful outdoor setting. Gave me an idea of where I wanted to exlore later as we went throigh the Garden and Warehoise District and sa aw the St Charles Streetcar. Good way to start my trip to New Orleans
Jackie is an outstanding guide, friendly, helpful, and a mine of information, a local with a insider perspective. The tour was nicely paced and quite honestly, based on what I learned and experienced, I cannot wait to visit New Orleans again and to learn more about this friendly and fascinating city.
James was well-versed on various types of architecture, New Orleans burial customs, and history of the Garden district. It went a little fast to take very many photos, but know the goal was to help us see as much of the Garden district as possible in time allotted.
