What a fabulous tour! Thank you so much Georgia for the fantastic explanations about Akrotiri. The tour was rounded off with us being picked up by Irene and taken to our motor boat for the afternoon. Miltos was exceptional. We learnt so much about the islands and Volcanos. He showed us all the different beaches and rocks including the impressive ‚Iceberg‘ and the lovely blue colours of the sea near the local taverna where we ate in Thirassia. The boat ride after dinner to take in the sunset by Oia rounded off this perfect day. Thank you for helping us make some lovely memories!
Thomas was our driver for the day and customized our tour for exactly what we wanted to do. He was a safe driver and provided tons of facts and interesting details along our drive. We stopped in several breathtaking places to take pictures. Some were off the beaten path and places that tourists haven't quite caught on to yet. Took this on our honeymoon trip and would definitely recommend it to others. Great job Thomas!
Our tour guide, Vicky, was very upbeat and friendly, setting a great tone for the trip. Good overview of some key sights on Santorini, so for us on a short (3-night) stay we could feel quickly familiar with what Santorini has to offer. Enough time was provided at each stop to take pictures, and at certain stops there's time to shop and eat. We were glad we did it.
A one day ferry strike almost sabotaged our guided tour in Akrotiri. But Georgia Dimas managed to juggle appointments so that we did get our tour, and she even picked us up at our hotel in Fira! To make a long story short, Georgia made the ancient and amazingly well preserved town come alive in front of our eyes. A high point of our four day stay in Santorini!
It would be better during the tour of the ancient city in Akrotiri to ask people to stand in a circular manner with the person explaining in the centre because my friends and I didn't get to hear or see some details when the tour guide would point on her book, as only the front people are close enough.
