What people are saying about Santorini
We had an awesome experience on this tour. We went to three beautiful wineries, the last with the best view of the island. We also stuck around for the sunset so do not plan reservations elsewhere to watch the sunset (other people in our group made that mistake). Amazing wine, however we would have loved more! Definitely more about tasting small amounts of various wines (compared to my experience in Italy where the wine never stopped and we were never left wanting more). Small plates of food at every place so you won't go hungry (we still had dinner afterward though). The drivers gave great information about the islands and definitely tried to get the party going. We had a group of three with all couples so it wasn't the more energetic crowd. However, with the right group, it could get quite lively. Overall, a must do in Santorini.
Overall, this was a really good trip. The tour guide was very informative and helpful, but gave you plenty of time to explore things at your own pace. It's quite a long walk up to the top of the volcano, but the views from the top are pretty spectacular. The hot springs are a bit of a disappointment (and you have to jump off the boat and swim to them). The lunch stop at Thirassia was nice and it's worth the walk up to the top if you have the energy. The boat trip back was fairly relaxed and takes you past Oia and Thira on the way back to the port.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our private tour of Santorini. We took an early flight in from Athens and did a day trip in Santorini. It’s really possible to have a great experience in a day with a private tour. We loved loved loved our tour guides Maria and Alex. They were professional, knowledgeable, and outgoing. The tour was expensive because it was just me and my husband but it was worth every penny.
The sunset is great, the swimming is fun, but the food was not a meal. Either come having eaten or plan on getting food after. Also, there is water and soft drinks but the wine is cheap stuff from a box - not exactly screaming luxury. The boat is clean and the crew is friendly, but you’re really paying to not have a ton of people with you, which is nice.
We were lucky to find we were the only guests on the boat. Particularly amazing as other boats we saw were packed. The food was absolutely incredible, with at least 7 different homemade greek dishes prepared on the boat. So delicious...we felt like royalty! Book with this provider - Brama Catamarans. A truly great experience from start to finish!
