Full description
Meet at La Moneda (Chile's Presidential Palace), in front of Plaza de la Constitucion. Your guide will be waiting to take you on a tour filled with snacks. Head to La Alameda to explore an area popular with locals, thanks to its gorgeous architecture and blend of the old and new.

Known as the heart and soul of Santiago (and where the city began), highlights include Plaza de Armas and the Metropolitan Cathedral. From here, travel like a local and ride the metro to a popular market. Wander the aisles and watch how the locals bargain for the best deals. You can even try your own negotiation skills. Because you will be in areas of the market that are inaccessible to large tour groups, you’ll experience what it’s really like to shop here every day.

Next, go to a local flea market, where you can find everything from souvenirs to healing potions. Move onward to another market to sample delicious Chilean delicacies. Head to a stunning park in downtown Santiago and walk off all those food samples.

You’ll finish up your Santiago tour in the bohemian Bellavista neighborhood. A place full of life and arts & crafts. Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for tips on what else to see, do, and eat during your stay.

Very interesting tour with a good guide and many explanations

Our guide spoke very good English and knew the history of Chile and Santiago well, which he was able to convey very interestingly. He was not averse to the program additions he wanted, and you could see that he was proud of his city. The food stations were well chosen and fun.

good tasting and informative

We spent the day with our guide, that was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky, because nobody else booked the tour on this day, so we were just the three of us. We walked though the inner city and could try different food. Make sure you don´t eat too much breakfast at your hotel! ;)

The guide was great but only 3 food stops-not much for a food tour
