What people are saying about San Gimignano
We could not have had a better experience. While it was supposed to be a group tour, my daughter and I ended up being the only 2. Our tour guide, Francesco, is the reason for my 5 star rating. He bought my daughter her first Italian coffee and then entertained us and was willing to answer all of our questions about Tuscany (and really Italy in general). He even shared his Napoletan pizza dough recipe with us! San Gimignano is a quaint and beautiful town and I do wish we had had more time to explore. Don't miss Dondoli's Gelato! Both wineries were beautiful and we learned a lot about the process of wine making. We were given bread, meats, cheeses, olive oils (including truffle and spicy truffle), balsalmic vinegar and dessert. We arrived back in Florence full and happy and with wonderful information and memories. Thank you Francesco!
3 visits of beatifil medieval towns + one wine tasting and excet excellent lunch, in an 11 hrs day packed with truly enjoyable events. Gloria and Asia, our tour ladies guide, were a perfect example of skills, courtesy and kindness. The bus driver was excellent and made us feel safe. The bus itself was very comfortable. We loved the whole trip and especially the amazing tour of Siena at the end. Best choice ever to pick San Gimignano, Monteriggiano and Siena. No need to go to Pisa. Bravo to the team and thanks to the delightful Tuscany treasures. Highly recommended tour.
Trip was well organized, saved us the hassle of jumping between busses n trains to do these places on our own. Lorenzo, our guide great too very humorous n helpful, he even helped us secure a cab to our hotel from the drop off point, after the trip got over. Would recommend to anyone doing the trip for the first time n not wanting to venture out too much experimenting self guided tours on holidays. Let's u relax n enjoy thoroughly.
It was really good with great friendly, informative guides but it was a really hot day and the a/c on the bus didn't work so that spoiled it a bit. Lots of walking up hills and steps so really needed to return to a cool bus. Great lunch, meeting different people from around the world.
This is a perfect way to get to know La Toscana! The Chianti wine tasting and lunch was amazing and very enriching, tour guides were very good with historic facts. San Gimignano is a MUST and Siena is full of history. 100% recommended!
