Full description
On this full-day tour you will spend 1 hour walking in the shadows of the world's tallest trees before learning about the history, craft, and science of winemaking in California’s lovely wine country.

The art of wine tasting is very much on the agenda as you explore the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Winemaking began here in California's wine country more than 100 years ago. Visit a vineyard, included as part of the day’s excursion, and enjoy a guided tour through a boutique winery, dependent on availability.

Afterwards, visit Napa Valley for even more tastings. On the 3 wine tasting stops you will have a chance to taste wines from a variety of grapes, specialties, wine-making styles, and size of operation, giving you a well-rounded wine country experience and lots of new favorite wines to add to your shopping list.

Pause for lunch in Sonoma Plaza.

The guide was very knowledgeable . Our bus had mechanical problems and our guide quickly arranged for a replacement bus. Muir Woods was a. Great experience. We could have used more time in Sonoma to have lunch and explore the town. We are at Tasca Tasca, a Portuguese tapas place that was excellent! We recommend it! Wineries were ok. We know a lot about wine and have favorites. We would have been Ok with going to 2 better wineries than 3 mediocre ones.

Great Day! Started the morning with an early morning walk in the Muir Woods followed by a beautiful day in Wine Country! We ate at the Girl and the Fig (Highly Recommend) on the Sonoma Square - it was crowded but we were able to sneak in at the bar. Wine was great, driver was really helpful, and the weather was perfect- couldn't ask for much more. Cheers.

A fun day overall. Our guide was Dustin, who was entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed walking around Muir Woods and visiting a variety of small wineries. As with any bus tour, everyone should arrive a little early for pickup, be sure to get back to the bus on time at each stop, and bring cash to tip the driver.
