Full description
Start your experience with a trip to California Wine Country. Stop at 2 selected wineries and enjoy some wine tastings on an exclusive estate tour. Experience the inner workings of the wineries and learn of their history in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Be guided by an expert wine host through the fermentation process, barrel aging, bottling, and tastings of some award-winning varietals. At each winery, enjoy up to 3-5 tastings of their signature blends. Then, make your way back to San Francisco by crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.
The following day, take a 30-minute ferry ride over to the notorious Alcatraz Prison, which served as a federal penitentiary from 1934 to 1963 and housed such criminals such as Al Capone and Robert Stroud, known as "the Birdman." Take the award-winning 45-minute Cellhouse audio tour and hear the tales of those who lived in Alcatraz. The tour brings history to life through the recounting of tales from correctional officers and prisoners
