What people are saying about Salamanca
We booked Tamara to take 4 tourists round Salamanca to see things which interested us. She very flexibly changed her normal touris route to suit our specific requirements. Tamara is personable, well informed, and has knowledge of local stories to add colour and interest to the tour. She has wide ranging knowledge and when she was unsure of anything she called on help from another guide with specific knowledge. We had a geat time with her and highly recommend her to any other Salamanca tourists.
Worth noting the tour is conducted in both Spanish and English... so lots of standing around while the guide repeats the same information in another language. Normally wouldn’t be a problem, but given how cold it was on the tour, it would have been better to move faster with the walking tour and maybe consider conducting separate tours for English and Spanish in future.
The guide was excellent. Driver was very good. But the tour itself felt a bit like “we drive you to the place, so you don’t have to do it yourself”. Would be better to have more guided time in the cities. Plus the tour has been moved, but GetYourGuide automatic email still was sent in the abandoned date to remind about the upcoming tour that was confusing
Maria tailored our tour to meet our interests and requests and we enjoyed speaking with her in both English and Spanish. As Spanish students, we asked for “slow Spanish” which she easily did for us, as she speaks several different languages and understood how to meet our needs. She is a student and full of energy and enthusiasm.
A long but great day out to Salamanca and Avila. Early start but right at the beginning we knew we were in safe hands with Stephi our guide and Victor the driver. The coach was comfortable, chat relevant and informative and timings just right. Would highly recommend. Thanks
