Full description
Rome’s catacombs of Domitilla kept their secrets secure for 1000s of years, but now you can visit the burial ground of Ancient Rome. Head 50 feet underground for a journey of discovery to find the treasures of late pagan and early Christian Rome.

Inside the catacombs are over 26,000 tombs of Ancient Rome's dead. Built between the 1st and 5th-centuries AD, the catacombs contain both pagan and early Christian remains.

Afterward, head to the Basilica of St. Clement which has stood on this site since the 4th-century and has been a place of worship for even longer. Go underground to find the Temple of Mithras, an ancient Roman mystery cult. Discover how in the 2nd-century AD, people would gather here to engage in the mysterious rituals of this virility-obsessed cult.
