What people are saying about Roman Forum

Roman Forum tour with TOM was incredible.

We went on the Coliseum and Roman Forum tour. The Roman Forum tour was led by Tom. Overall I think it was possibly the best tour I have ever been on. Tom went through the history of Rome and its emperors and tied it into the different parts of the Roman Forum as we walked through. He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. His final "soliloquy" on the Forum was delivered so well and was so moving I was about to cry. He was THAT good. He was also very considerate of the heat, and always tried to find shade and made sure people had opportunities to get water. Five stars for sure.

Excellent storytelling both at the Colisseum and Forum

We were lucky that everybody else was late and so 2 of us had a private tour with the guide of the Colosseum. What a difference! Ilaria was personable and helpful and extremely knowledgable. Then we met back up with the main group for the tour of the Forum with Tom as the guide. His dialogue of history laced into an intricate storytelling of tribes, tyranny, emperors and the battle for democracy. Just brilliant. We were mesmerised for the full 2 hours and even in the heat of the day the group were intent on his every word.

Great option to avoid lengthy admission queues.

Once we found the meeting place and our guide everything was well organised and, other than the queue for security checks which cannot be avoided or skipped, entry was quite quick. The length of time we had inside the Colosseum was enough to see everything and take it all in at a reasonable pace. This was followed by guided entry to Palentine Hill/Forum which, again, was quick and easy. I would definitely book again through this company for other tours/events.

Very useful ticket but problem with night tour

Arrived twenty five minutes before the night tour was due to start but there was already a long line waiting. Two buses arrived but we just missed the last seats. There were enough people left behind to fill more than one bus. This could be avoided by better organisation and/or putting another bus on.

The tour gives a good perspective of key locations in Rome

Overall this tour was excellent. The concept of going at your own pace , hopping on and off is a great approach for a bewildered tourist. What I would do better; maybe explain to the audience when and where the free walking tours begin and how long should one plan for them.Terry from Calgary, Canada
