Incredible tour with Mat!! Such a phenomenal experience

I am so glad we decided to book a guided tour for plitvice lakes and our tour guide, Mat, really made the day for us. We got stuck in traffic due to an event so he talked so passionately about Croatia, answered all of our questions. He was lovely and so funny and really had a great sense of humour throughout the day. Mat’s English was excellent and he made lots of recommendations for our time in Zagreb. During the tour, Mat took us around the whole park and knew the best routes to skip all the queues so we could have the best experience possible. He also spoke about the different lakes and rocks which made the day even more interesting! What an amazing experience- worth every penny! Mat really made the day for us!

Limiting the visitors was the right decision

I was in Plitvice in Aug 2016 and could not enter : too many people, traffic Jam, queue for tickets : I abandoned really disappointed. This time : no queue , all smooth : great , except the bus inside did not have air conditioning. You should do this in all of your country !!! Your country became a mass destination and the quality is declining rapidly because your infrastructure (airport, transportation , hotels and general capacity) is not able to absorb this mass of people. What you did for Plitvice should be done anywhere else in your so nice country.

The best of upper and lower lakes and falls in a day

We took this tour as a way of exploring the area as we travelled from Zagreb to Zadar. About a 5 mile walk but at a gentle pace with a couple of breaks and mostly in the shade of the trees with a cooling breeze so don’t be put off by the exercise in the heat which made us apprehensive. It was totally fine. Our group was a little big (14 people) which meant we lost some of the info coming from our guide Nikola but he was very good and informative. It is a beautiful area and I felt we saw the best of the upper and lower lake areas on this trip

Wonderful place, a little crowded but we had a relaxed tour guide

This was a lovely trip - not only the lakes were a truly special sight, but also our multilingual guide (Mauro) introduced us to the culture, history and geography of the many towns, regions we traversed to reach the lakes from Opatija. He was polite, knowledgeable, unassuming and patient. The driver (Christian) also looked apart. I am not one for guided tours but this one was respectably run, informative and very well organised.

Memorable tour of Plitvice Lakes with terrific tour guide Karlo

Had an amazing small groups tour with Karlos our guide to Rastoke & Plitvice Lakes. Incredible day with fantastic sights & company. Karlos was very knowledgable about both areas we were visiting but also about Croatia. He was very easy to relate to & made everyone feel comfortable - Our bus load of 4 different couples from around the world became good friends throughout the course of the door.
