What people are saying about Peter and Paul Fortress

We booked this tour with an english speaking guide to make sure we understood what we were seeing. Well worth it. You could try doing it independently but you would miss so much information. Our guide Olga arrived and was excellent from the very outset. Her knowledge and passion for the tour was exceptional. Peter and Paul fortress excellent, followed by church of the spilled blood and onto St Isaac cathedral. Although we were the only two on the tour we found Olga made us feel like a member of her own family when it came to stop for a traditional russian lunch. When it came to the highlight of the tour which was the Hermitage museum this is where the expert guide Olga made the tour worth every penny. Her knowledge as we said earlier was brilliant. Booking through Get your guide was the first time we have booked experiences online but will definitely be using this website in the future. Rob and Vanessa Newell

I did not know how prominently Saint Petersburg figured into the October Revolution of 1917 and this tour was super informative. There were also some really great historical things to see that were highlighted during the tour.

Igor was very helpful introducing the history and surrounding. It is a must to have a guide in order to know the place. The only thing is the meeting point was not clear .. It was outside the fortress.

Interesting guide. Well informed and willing to give her interpretation of some contemporary events. Took us to places I've not been before in the Fortress (I lived in St. Petersburg for a year).

Vladimir was very informative and gave an excellent insight into the way of life in St Petersburg and Russian during communist rule. Good job Guys, many thanks Paul.
